.TH NABU 8 "29 August 2026" "nabu-core-meta 2.0.0" "System Administration" .SH NAME nabu \- inspect and manage co-installable Nabu kernel families .SH SYNOPSIS .B nabu kernel status .br .B nabu kernel list .br .B nabu kernel use .RI alpha | stable | mainline | lts .br .B nabu kernel add .RI alpha | stable | mainline | lts .SH DESCRIPTION The nabu-core-meta package requires at least one Nabu kernel family and recommends alpha for fresh installations. Stable, alpha, mainline and the future LTS family may coexist for development. Each family upgrades in place, so a normal single-family installation retains only that family's newest RPM. .PP The use command installs the requested family and records it as the preferred canonical UKI target. The add command installs an additional development family without changing the preference. Neither operation reboots the device. The legacy branch, brunch and brucnh forms remain compatibility aliases. .SH FILES .I /etc/nabu/kernel.conf stores the preferred family and is preserved as an RPM noreplace configuration.
