# One palette, and one set of it only: the `[Colors:Complementary]` block at the bottom, which is
# the set the lock screen and the log-out screen draw in. It is read key by key -- KConfig layers
# `kdeglobals` under this file, and every key the block does not name is answered by the colour
# scheme in force -- which is why nothing else is fixed here. A `[Colors:Window]`, `[Colors:View]`
# or `[Colors:Button]` group would be the panel painting from its own file and never reading the
# scheme again, and the colour presets would stop at the windows and never reach the bar. So the
# panel keeps following the scheme, a colour of your own included, exactly as it did when this
# file carried no palette at all.
#
# The Complementary block is pinned -- copied from Klassy's own `KlassyDark.colors` -- because
# the two screens that draw in it should be dark on every preset, "dark even on light themes":
# the light presets carry a light Complementary set of their own, and left to the scheme the lock
# screen went light with them. Dark it is, on every preset this app ships -- with the two
# decoration keys left out, so the focus and hover colours of the lock screen's flat buttons
# follow the colour scheme instead of Klassy Dark's blue. The password box is not in this set: a
# Plasma text field puts itself in the View set while its background shows, so its ring and its
# own colours follow the scheme whatever this block says. The block is
# `theme.COMPLEMENTARY` in `daemon/theme.py`, and `tests/test_colour_schemes.py` holds the file
# and the constant to each other. Measured with `scripts/probe.py --follow --style-dir`: the
# text colour the screens read is still this block's, the panel's own colours follow the scheme,
# the password box's ring follows the scheme's View focus, and the flat buttons follow its
# Complementary focus.
#
# Why this file exists at all, rather than being absent: KSvg asks every theme directory for
# `colors` on every item it creates and never remembers that there was none -- with no file, ten
# to twelve file probes per item on a stock session (more with more data directories), and
# KRunner creates every row again on every keystroke; with the file, one.
#
# And it must be found by a path with no symbolic link in it, which is why install.sh puts this
# one file in a directory of its own, spelled with every link resolved, and tells the session to
# search there: found through a link, the shell holds two objects for this one file (KConfig
# canonicalises the name on open, the shared lookup compares the name as asked for) and only one
# of them is reparsed when the scheme changes -- measured, the panel's text followed the wallpaper
# and its background did not. On this desktop the home directory is itself reached through a
# link, so the package's own directory, however it is installed, cannot be that path.
